Laguna Tinaja

Among tourist activities the municipal government of Ruidera is developing, there is the establishment of a museum to display the history of villages in Lagunas de Ruidera Nature Reserve.

The writer Salvador Jimenez, who was born in Ruidera, is in charge to put all this together.

The museum proposes a journey through various human settlements that have existed in the High Guadiana Valley extensive history.  By means of printed boards and archaeological material connected to diverse periods of time found in the area, we will cross the threshold to ways of life our ancestors lived, from the Palaeolithic until the present day.

Pottery, coins, idols or depictions of a remarkable archaeological importance and skilfully exposed will give us a better understanding of life development in this exceptional site.
