To Discover the High Guadiana Valley |
Bird species, coming from colder latitudes, from the peninsula and Europe, come to our wetlands looking for a more benign climate to spend the winter and where feeding will be easier. If we carefully observe the lagoons, we will see different species like European tufted ducks, purple herons, or the unmistakable cormorants. Others like the common windhover pillages in the vicinities. A pleasing gift during these months, after a journey in the countryside, is to take shelter near a warm fire place. In winter months wildlife in Lagunas de Ruidera Nature Reserve gives us a gift comparable to what takes place in other Manchegan wetlands, bird’s winter-season.</p> |
